About Our Camps

Berkshire Summer Programs offer numerous opportunities outside of the daily camp schedule, allowing for a balanced experience. Activities and events are designed to bring students together in small groups and as an entire community. Rovensky Student Center is Berkshire’s hub for student activities and hosts ping pong tables, foosball, a lounge area, and TVs. Berkshire has deep-rooted traditions that help define the Berkshire experience, including under the Mountain activities like hiking, challenge courses, and mountain biking. Berkshire Summer Programs fosters the same year-round philosophy that makes Berkshire so unique. Students do not simply uphold traditions and show up to events; instead, they build traditions and new programs, and as a result they are involved, invested, and connected.

Residential life at Berkshire is designed to help students develop a sense of responsibility, self-sufficiency, and connectedness unique to boarding school experience. Summer students at Berkshire enjoy living in a nurturing and safe environment. Dorm counselors take on a parent-like role, giving each dorm a true family feeling. From helping with project work, giving advice, to hosting activities, snacks, and movie nights in the common room, dorm counselors build strong relationships with our summer students.

Benson Commons, Berkshire’s dining hall, is a centrally located dining facility with multiple dining areas where students can enjoy fresh, delicious, and healthy food choices. Berkshire is committed to campus sustainability and serves meals that are not only healthy and delicious, but also prepared in a manner that contributes to the conservation of the community ecosystem. All meals are prepared by FLIK Independent School Dining, "a diverse family of food and nutrition specialists dedicated to providing the academic community with fun, healthy dining options." Hot and cold food choices are available at each meal. Vegetarian and Vegan choices are available, as well as a salad bar and sandwich bar.

*Please report any food allergies on your medical form. We can accommodate most food allergies. Our food service provider and Berkshire Summer Programs staff will assist campers and help select appropriate food choices.

If enrolled in two or more sessions or through the weekend, our schedule of events, activities, and downtime will provide the perfect blend needed to recharge. Visits to area attractions, downtown excursions, and on-campus activities keep the weekends fun! Transportation to local places of worship is available as well.
