Berkshire has 10 dorms, ranging in size and feel. Various configurations exist, with no more than two students per dorm. Dorms are organized by "vertical housing," which means that every dorm has students from each grade, allowing upperclassmen to serve as role models. It also means that new students are quickly integrated into the community. Faculty apartments adjoin each hall and two senior prefects provide leadership in everything from monitoring study hall and sustainability to serving as mentors and organizing Winter Carnival events.
The Student/Parent Handbook is an important document that outlines the rules and expectations for students in the Berkshire community. Each student—and parent—should read the handbook carefully.

Technology is integral to teaching and learning at Berkshire as well as to the administrative functions that support it. Our vision for technology is as a facilitator of communication and collaboration between students, parents, faculty and the world outside our campus, and as an enabler of discovery and engagement in the process of learning "not just for school, but for life."
The Technology Department is committed to supporting all technology in use at Berkshire; assisting our faculty, staff, and students in its effective use; and working with the community to identify areas where technology can help Berkshire better fulfill its mission.
Coin-operated clothes washing machines and dryers are located in a number of dorms throughout campus.
In addition, a laundry service is available for a fee to wash and/or dry clean student apparel and bedding. Click here to read about E&R, The Campus Laundry.
