Event Recap:

The Berkshire School Ski Team divided forces this weekend, with some competing in the USSA Tristate U16 Race League (1997 & 1998 age class) held this past Sunday at the Berkshire East Ski Area. Based upon recent temperatures, lack of snow and an abundance of rain, the courses proved very difficult for the entire field.

Leading the charge was Katherine Frick '16, who after placing 10th in the first run, fell in the second. Katherine showed great determination to hike and complete her run, landing her in 27th Overall. Our top finisher, Caroline Slyer '16, put together two solid runs, finishing in 14th Overall. Caroline was followed closely by another 3rd Former, Annette Key '16, who notched in at 20th Overall. Rounding out our group was Samantha Reagan, who after being disqualified in her first run, was afforded a second run and was 31st in that run.

On the boy's side, Ben Lang '15 skied to a 31st place in his first run, only to succumb in the second run, falling on the steeper upper half of the course.

Our final U16 racers, Elise Chauvel '15, Eliza Stichter '16 and Bryce Schuler '15, opted to compete in the Tristate USSA U21/18 races held at Bousquet Mountain.

Overall, a great job by all of our skiers.
