Basketball - Girls Junior Varsity vs. Kent School

Event Type: Regular

Date: December 1, 2012

Score:27 - 38

Event Recap:

J.V. Girls Basketball had their opening game Saturday at Kent.  The team came out with a quick start and took an early 10-8 lead.  However, Kent got a hot shooting hand and took a 19-14 halftime lead.  The second half saw a lot of back and forth action but Berkshire could not overcome the Kent lead.  Berkshire was led by senior captain Hong Minh Ngo who scored 14 points in a gutty performance.  Freshman Taylor Willi had a great hustle game and added 7 points, while Co-captain Liza Bernstein scored another 6 points.  Kristina Niemi and Nicole Martinez both had great performances in their first ever basketball game to help the Bears' cause.  Berkshire will host Indian Mountain next Wednesday.
