Lacrosse - Girls Junior Varsity vs. The Loomis Chaffee School

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 24, 2013

Score:6 - 12

Event Recap:

The Bears dropped their second game of the season to a tough Loomis junior varsity lacrosse team. Coming off the win against Suffield, the Bears hoped to continue their win streak. Unfortunately, the strong defense of Loomis and their fast-break offense stood in our way.

Lexi Merison led the scoring with four goals, while Caroline Slyer snuck two in, leading to the ultimate 12-6 loss to the Pelicans. Emma Weinstein tried her hand at offense on Wednesday and proved that she can play on both sides of the ball. Once again, Kara Falck, Indie Coard and Eliza McKenna anchored our defense, while Nicky Friedman had a career-high eight saves, coming up especially big in the last few minutes of the game.
