Event Recap:

The Bears took to the road again, and this time played solid and swept Kingswood-Oxford 7-0. Maisie Noesen ’13 met a good opponent with lots of pace on the ball, but she kept her composure and played very well (8-1). Blake Pollizi ’14 stayed focused throughout the match, and used a variety of shots to win her match (8-3). Alli Bliven ’13 continued her unbeaten streak and made few mistakes (8-2). Caroline Welch ’15 had a couple of slip-ups mentally, but still managed to beat a tricky opponent (8-4). All of the doubles teams played outside in the hot sun, but that did not stop them. Serena Menges ’14 and Hattie Waldron ’13 played solid tennis from beginning to end, and won 8-3.  Mena Lascurain ’13 and Sophie Needles ’15 communicated very well and got away with a win rather easily (8-1). Catherine Xu ’14 and Emily Walsh ’15 started off shakily, but quickly turned it around and won 8-2.
