Event Recap:

The Bears were playing the Lions but it was the Bears who roared, banging out 14 hits to the Lions 2 on their way to a big win over Kent. Pitcher Colleen Devanney faced only 31 batters in 7 innings, striking out 8 and forcing Kent into 9 infield ground-outs. The Bears, meanwhile, sent 45 batters  to the plate. Colleen, Mary Gao, Neeka Daemi and Juyoung Lee all swung hot bats, accounting for 9 of the Bears hits. Alea Laigle broke out of her early season batting drought with 2 hard-hit balls, including a base hit and Quynh Ahn Phan ripped two singles into the outfield in her last two plate appearances.

Next up for the JV squad is a match against the Saints of Canterbury School on Wednesday May 7th in New Milford.
