Baseball - Boys Junior Varsity vs. Williston Northampton

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 23, 2014

Event Recap:
On a frightfully blustery day, the Bears wasted a strong pitching performance by Patrick Frey and Henry Thomas and came up short against a plucky bunch of Wildcats. Berkshire did well with small ball, advancing a runner with Cody Lucey's sacrifice bunt and plating one on Calder Ryan's well-executed suicide squeeze, but struggled to make good contact throughout the afternoon. Poor fielding gave the boys in blue too many chances, and they cashed in to the tune of eleven runs. Cupcakes (from Coach K) and donuts (from Mrs Gaynor) helped to sweeten an otherwise bitter outing. The Bears will look to rebound tomorrow with the rare Thursday tilt against Hotchkiss.
