Lacrosse - Boys Varsity
vs. Salisbury School
|Date:||April 5, 2013|
|Score:||3 - 10|
Berkshire did not have a lot of time to think about the tough defeat against Deerfield as they traveled down to Salisbury Friday afternoon. After getting off to a slow start, Berkshire found the net when Robbie Fiamengo scored with 1:32 left in the quarter to make the score 2-1. Unfortunately, a defensive let down allowed Salisbury to sneak a goal in with just 8 seconds left and Berkshire started the second quarter down 3-1. The second quarter saw another Fiamengo goal but Salisbury added two more and took a 5-2 lead into halftime. The third quarter went much the same way as the second as Regan Haas ripped a goal off a pass from Michael Allen, only to see Salisbury tack on two more for a 7-3 lead. The fourth quarter saw the Bears run out of gas physically, and Salisbury took advantage of the tired Berkshire unit to score three goals in the final four minutes to put the game out of reach 10-3.
The player of the match for the Bears was goalie Tyler Behring who recorded 18 saves. Sam Hahn also a strong game at the faceoff X, winning 10 of 17 draws. The Bears head back on the road tomorrow to take on South Kent and end a tough week of play.
