Andrew D’Ambrosio joined the Boys Varsity Lacrosse staff in 2010 and became the Head Coach after the 2014 season. Mr. D’Ambrosio played high school lacrosse at The Loomis Chaffee School (’06) where he was a four-year letter winner. He went on to be a four-year starter at Williams College (’10) where he helped win the program’s only NESCAC title in 2008. As a close defenseman at Williams he was a senior captain, a two-time All-NESCAC selection, an ECAC All-New England selection, and a USILA Scholar All-American.
In addition to coaching lacrosse, Mr. D’Ambrosio teaches World History and History of Art, helps coach the Boys Varsity Soccer Team, and serves as the House Head of Allen Dormitory.
Assistant Coaches: Andrew Barter joined the Boys Varsity Lacrosse staff in 2013. Mr. Barter played high school lacrosse at Tabor Academy where he started as a goalie for three years. He was captain of his team and was awarded All-American honors in 1996. He attended Gettysburg College where he was a three-time All-American, including first-team honors in 1999. He was the first back-to-back Centennial Conference Player of the Year (1999, 2000) and was tabbed NCAA Division III Goalie of the Year in 1999. He was a three-time all-conference first-team selection and finished as the conference’s all-time leader in save percentage (.620) and goals against average (7.02). Barter led the team to four NCAA appearances and three conference titles as well as serving as a senior captain.
In addition to serving as the Defensive Coordinator on the lacrosse team, Mr. Barter teaches French and coaches the Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding team. He lives in MacMillan with his wife Dr. Anna Barter and their two children.
Chris Perkins joined the Boys Varsity Lacrosse staff after the 2014 season. Mr. Perkins played high school lacrosse at St. Mark’s and at Lawrenceville during his post-graduate year. A 1992 graduate from Connecticut College, he was a three-year starter at midfield, captained the team as a senior, represented the school in the NEILA Senior East/West All Star Game, and still holds the program’s career ground ball record.
In addition to serving as the Offensive Coordinator on the lacrosse team, Mr. Perkins teaches Economics, serves in the Admissions Office and coaches the Boys JV Hockey team. He lives in DeWindt with his Elizabeth and their three children.
