Tennis - Boys Varsity vs. Canterbury

Event Type: Regular

Date: May 3, 2014

Event Recap:

After the SATs on Saturday, the Bears hosted Canterbury. The weather still proved challenging for both teams as the wind swirled all afternoon. And with #1 Tanner Boyle nursing an abdominal injury, all the Bears stepped up nicely. The Bears swept the doubles point, but give credit to the Saints as the level of play was not reflected in the scores.  After that, each singles match had moments where the skills and strategizes practiced during the week paid off. Nice work to all the boys, especially senior Pete Warsinke (’14) who battled a tricky and athletic opponent from Canterbury. The Bears host the Gunnery on Wednesday in another Class B showdown. Final score: Berkshire 7 – Canterbury 0.
