Softball - Girls Varsity vs. Kent School

Event Type: Regular

Date: May 4, 2013

Score:6 - 1

Event Recap:

Francesca Ghi ’14 and Annie Love ’16 each homered to lead the Bears to a 6-1 victory on Saturday at Kent.  Both girls were strong for the Bears all day, hitting the ball hard to tally two and three RBI’s respectively, and complementing their offense with strong defense.  Ghi was solid behind the plate and Love played smart all day at second base.

Along with Ghi and Love, the entire Berkshire defense was strong, led by Caitlin Kiene ’13 on the mound, striking out six and walking just one. Ivey Mueller ’16 also played well, snagging a low line drive out of the air for an out in right field, surprising the Kent runner at first base, and then catching her too far off for the double play.

The Bears, now 7-2, travel to Canterbury on Wednesday.
