Baseball - Boys Varsity vs. Salisbury School

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 29, 2014

Event Recap:

Berkshire hosted Salisbury on a wet and cold Tuesday afternoon for a Young Division matchup.  Ian Rasmussen '14 started on the mound for the Bears and kept the Knights scoreless through the first four innings.  Rasmussen did a fine job hitting his spots and really gave his team an opportunity to win.  Bryan Gerstenfeld '14 gave Berkshire the lead in the third inning with a two-run homerun off of Salisbury's lefty.

The Bears looked as though they would get to the sixth with a two run lead, but with two outs the Knights rallied for four to take the lead.  The Bears had runners in scoring position in several innings late in the game, but could not take advantage of their opportunities.  It was an exciting game and the Bears played overall quality baseball.  Thanks to all of the fans who braved the elements for the game.  The Bears now focus on preparing for Millbrook on Saturday which is another important division game.
