Event Type: Regular

Date: November 7, 2012

Score:30 - 0

Event Recap:

The JV Football team beat Hotchkiss 30 -0 at home to complete the season undefeated and un-scored upon against prep school teams. Berkshire took a 2-0 lead on the first play from scrimmage as Peter Sweeney tackled a Hotchkiss running back in the end zone for a safety. On Berkshire’s first possession, John McAllister scored and the two point conversion failed. On the ensuing kick-off Berkshire recovered an unplanned short kick to begin a second possession after Hotchkiss had only run one play from scrimmage. The Bears did not waste the opportunity to put the Hotchkiss team in an early hole. Behind the hard running of Eric Smith (2 touchdowns) and John McAllister (2 touchdowns), Berkshire scored on their second passion and then went on to score two more times in the first half and once in the second half. Brian Rodriguez threw two, 2-point conversion passes, one to Jay Bolton and one to Will Fortenbaugh to account for the rest of the scoring.
