Soccer - Boys Thirds vs. Mount Everett HS

Event Type: Regular

Date: October 16, 2013

Score:Berkshire 7 - Mt. Everett 1

Event Recap:
After a tough loss to Suffield and a much needed long weekend, Berkshire welcomed Mt. Everett.  With home-cooked meals still weighing them down, Berkshire started the game slowly.  Berkshire was unable to establish possession and found themselves playing primarily kick-and-run soccer.  As the half progressed, so did Berkshire’s ball control. On a nice interior pass from just outside the goalie’s box, Samuel Bannet found Harry Smith for the first goal of the game.  Mt. Everett, however, quickly countered with a ball behind the defense that led to a fast break.  With about ten minutes left in the half, Berkshire took control of the game scoring three goals (Eric Hwang scored two goals from outside the goalie’s box and Yuze Zhang scored on a nice pass from Jack Gustavson.  The second half continued similarly to the first with Berkshire controlling the ball.  Here, Berkshire added three more goals from Jack Gustavson, Liam Bullock and Mikey Peterson.  Berkshire looks to Canterbury next.
