Soccer - Boys Thirds vs. Millbrook School

Event Type: Regular

Date: October 3, 2012

Score:3 - 2

Event Recap:

Continuing on their string of away matches, the Bears traveled to Millbrook, NY.  From the opening possession, the Bears found themselves scrambling for the ball.  Millbrook controlled much of the possession and scored in the first five minutes.  The Bears responded--quickly.  For the most of the first half, the Bears were on the offensive.  And despite a goal lost to an off-sides call, the Bears kept up the pressure with a strong performance from Hunter Reynolds at half-back and an equally strong performance from Connor Shalleck at full-back.  At the quarter mark, Son Nguyen was able to find Dillon Cunningham with a nice pass across the goal mouth.  Son Nguyen played an exceptional game and was a key play-maker for the Bears.  Knotted at 1, the Bears continued to apply pressure during the second half.  Chris Kreke controlled much of center field--both offensively and defensively.  He continues to play a key role in distributing the ball from the top.  And it was an in-direct kick at half field from Chris to Si Tolvo that broke the tie.  Andrew Koudijs, on a nice on-timer from the left wing, added an insurance goal several minutes later.
