A dramatic 48,000-square-foot academic facility that features six math classrooms, eight science classroom labs, a 100-seat teaching auditorium, department offices, and one Advanced Math/Science Research lab equipped with state-of-the-art scientific research tools, this building increased the space devoted to math and science at Berkshire by 129% when built in 2011.

With dramatic glass walls, bright skylights and a terraced landscape, the facility is as eye-pleasing as it is practical. In keeping with the school’s commitment to sustainability, Bellas/Dixon is certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

FAST FACT The Bellas/Dixon Math and Science Center was designed by Centerbrook Architects, which received the top award for Environmental Architecture in education from the 2013 Starnet Design Awards.
