Professional Development

Berkshire School is dedicated to the continued growth and development of each faculty member.  The full faculty group meets regularly to discuss current news and methodology in the field of education and to hone their craft in teaching.  Berkshire teachers participate in informal observations of each others' teaching throughout the school year and also take part in a regular formal evaluation process that includes self-reflection, classroom observations, and a review of teaching with a group of colleagues. The Professional Development Committee manages a robust budget that enables faculty members to seek funding for advanced degree work, travel in their fields of study, and a multitude of conferences and workshops.
