Came to Berkshire: 2013

Where does your passion for teaching come from? My passion comes from the great group of teachers and coaches that I had in high school. While they were all effective at teaching the material at hand, they truly excelled in educating us beyond the classroom with their values, passion, and humility.

What excites you most about teaching at Berkshire? The school's focus on teaching for life.  The school's desire to keep its educational experience relevant has given me a solid platform from which to take risks and extend the students' learning well beyond the classroom.l

What type of students do you encounter at Berkshire? While Berkshire has students from all walks of life, they all seem to have the unique ability to bridge their differences and come together as community.

How does it make you feel to be a role model for the students here? The examples we set, both in and outside the classroom, play an incredibly important role in a Berkshire students' education. It's a huge responsibility and an area which can always be improved upon.
