Parent Coordinator Program Details

Program Goal: To provide snacks and drinks for athletes after their games and matches, as well as help to unify parents who have an athlete on a Berkshire team, bringing greater involvement and support to the teams and students.  The program is for Varsity and JV teams for the fall, winter and spring teams.

Parent Coordinator Role:  To contact parents on their child’s team and put together a snack table for home games and away games if possible.  They will receive a list of athletes and the names of their parents from the Lead Parent Coordinator.  The coordinator would access phone numbers and e-mail addresses from the portal and contact families to ask who would like to donate a food or beverage item for games.  They would be responsible for keeping in touch with parents and coordinating snacks for the games or matches on the athletic schedule for their team.

Lead Parent Coordinator Role: To contact parents through e-mails send from the Parent Program Director to parents at the beginning of each season.  The e-mail would be sent at the beginning of each season to all parents, asking for volunteers for each Varsity and JV Team for that season.  The Lead Parent Coordinator would provide all information necessary for the parent coordinator.  This would include the coaches name & e-mail, list of students on each team from the athletic department, parent e-mail information, and any other information necessary.

Please contact Deb Couch, Director of Parent Programs, at dcouch@berkshireschool.org if you are interested in coordinating a team during the year.
