On behalf of Berkshire School’s Board of Trustees, thank you!

As we mark 50 years of coeducation and celebrate all the voices that make up our community, we can be proud of the impact we are making on Berkshire. In 2018−2019, 2,540 of us came together to contribute $7.7M to our school. Our gifts to financial aid made Berkshire a reality for one in three students and provided programs in academics, arts, and athletics that will define their Berkshire experiences. Endowment giving allowed us to establish a program in Artificial Intelligence that is placing our students at the forefront of AI among independent schools. We welcomed the Bear Sculpture to campus in memory of the original Berkshire “Bear” Art Chase and as a salute to the spirit of all Berkshire Bears. Just last month, we welcomed teachers into a newly renovated, light-filled faculty center in Berkshire Hall.

Our strong participation is yet another sign of our dedication. The Classes of 2019 and 2022 tied for an unprecedented 100% participation in the Annual Fund, helping to inspire 88% of our parents and 85% of our faculty and staff to join them in giving back to Berkshire. Over Reunion Weekend, we saw a three-year high in the number of alumni returning to the Mountain to celebrate with their classmates, families, and friends. In the same year, 11 donors rose to the Paying It Forward Challenge to join nearly 200 Godman Society members who’ve included the School in their estate plans.

Thank you for your engagement as a member of this community. As you explore the 2018−2019 Annual Impact Report, I hope you’ll see the impact that your commitment is having on Berkshire School—now and in the future.
