Lacrosse - Girls Varsity
Berkshire’s girls lacrosse program consists of three teams—Varsity, JV and Thirds—and each year over sixty students participate across the three levels. All of our coaches are talented, multi-sport athletes who have decades of combined coaching experience. Pillars of our program include skill development, fitness, and an emphasis on teamwork and respect.
All players in the program are invited to participate in off-season play through captain’s practices and group workouts, as well as our Sunday Winter Clinics with one of our favorite personalities in the game of lacrosse, Andy Towers. Players are also invited to attend the spring break trip in March, where we prepare for the season, bond with other players and coaches, and enjoy the warm weather.
In recent history, Berkshire Varsity Lacrosse has seen its graduates move onto programs at both the Division I and Division III level, including Siena College, the University of Vermont, Butler University, St. Lawrence University, Dickinson College, and Gettysburg College. Our multisport seniors have also pursued other passions such as ice hockey, squash, and soccer at programs like Clarkson University, Trinity College, Colby College, and Middlebury College.
We play a competitive schedule that includes Class B rivals as well as larger Class A schools. Our practices are high-intensity, focused, and efficient, incorporating fitness into skills work at all levels. Berkshire wraps up its season with the Class B Invitational, which includes fellow rivals Williston Northampton, Canterbury, and Pomfret.
