Volleyball - Girls Varsity

Berkshire School’s volleyball program started in 1980 and the team is currently a member of the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). Moving from the winter to the fall season in 2009, Berkshire has continued a tradition of playing competitive volleyball. As such, the Bears were Class B New England Tournament semifinalists in 2009 and 2013, quarterfinalists in 2011, and runner-up in 2014.

Berkshire fields teams at the varsity and junior varsity levels each year and plays a rigorous schedule against independent schools in southern New England. As a medium-sized member of the New England Prep School Fall Girls Volleyball Association, our rigorous schedule includes Class B schools, such as The Ethel Walker School, Canterbury School, Suffield Academy, Wilbraham and Monson Academy, The Williston Northampton School, and Kingswood-Oxford School, as well as Class A opponents The Hotchkiss School, The Taft School, Greenwich Academy, and Northfield Mount Hermon School. The volleyball program emphasizes team play and tenacious defense. Players have gone on to pursue careers in fields such as medicine, education, finance, engineering, acting, fashion design and the armed forces.
