Squash - Boys Varsity

The Berkshire boys squash program is dedicated to developing and fostering college-ready players with our two competitive teams and nurturing a life-long love of the game with our thirds squad. Boys varsity competes against perennial powerhouses in New England along with participating in both US High School Nationals and the end of season NEISA tournament. The team captured the Div. III title in 2026 and the Div. IV championship in 2018. Players have also won numerous individual awards at the NEISA championships and in 2025 the team finished second out of sixteen teams for the Class B title.
Recent graduates have gone on to successful squash careers at Hobart, Franklin & Marshall, Bates, and St. Lawrence. The boys coaching staff works hard to instill strong fundamentals at the Junior Varsity level and continue to refine and expand players’ skills as they transition to the Varsity level. Both competitive squads emphasize team development and players work hard to challenge each other during practices.
Coach Chris Perkins took over as head coach of the varsity program in 2018. A 1992 graduate of Connecticut College, Coach Perkins played collegiately for the Camels, and was a member of the school's hockey and lacrosse teams. In addition to his coaching duties, Mr. Perkins teaches Advanced Economics at Berkshire and lives on campus with his wife, Elizabeth, and three children.
