Arts

The Arts at Berkshire are a vibrant and essential part of the student experience, offering a wide range of opportunities for creative expression and growth. Whether through visual arts, music, theater, or dance, students are encouraged to explore their talents, take creative risks, and develop their voices in a supportive and inspiring environment. Our arts spaces—including the Allen Theater, The Warren Family Gallery, and new Music Center—serve as hubs for collaboration, innovation, and performance.

At Berkshire, the arts are not extracurricular—they are essential. Our students don’t just study art; they create, perform, and discover who they are through the process.

Performing Arts

Students of all experience levels have the opportunity to grow as artists, collaborators, and confident performers. The program includes Theater, Music, and Dance, each with a wide range of academic courses and co-curricular opportunities.

Visual Arts

Students may explore their creativity, develop technical skills, and express their ideas through a variety of media. With offerings in painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital media, and architecture, students are introduced to both traditional and contemporary approaches to artmaking.

The arts curriculum at Berkshire is broad and exciting, offering everything from AP Studio Art and Digital Music Production to Acting and Advanced Ceramics. Students regularly share their work with the community through concerts, theater performances, art shows, and events like Jazz Café and the AP Art Exhibit. The arts go far beyond the classroom, with visiting artists, field trips, and creative collaborations that make the experience even more engaging. Whether students are serious about pursuing the arts or just exploring something new, they’ll find the support, inspiration, and opportunities to grow at Berkshire.
