During your visit to Berkshire School, you'll be welcomed by our Admission team at Chase House, and paired with a student guide who will take you on a personalized tour of campus. All campus tours include stops in our academic and athletic facilities, dorms, dining hall, and other spaces relevant to your interests. After the tour, you’ll sit down for an interview with an Admission officer—a friendly conversation where we learn about your interests, goals, and what excites you about Berkshire.

What to Expect During Your Visit

You’ll experience the heart of Berkshire School whenever you come to campus, but depending on its timing there are some options you have for your visit, which you should expect to last about two hours. See details below for more information on planning your visit.

Connect with a Coach

If you’re a varsity athlete or have a specific interest in one of our signature programs, we encourage you to reach out to the coach or program director. If you’d like the opportunity to meet with a coach or program director on the day of your visit, please reach out ahead of time to coordinate with them.

Getting to Berkshire

Our 400-acre campus is located at the base of Mount Everett (2,624 ft.) in Sheffield, Massachusetts. Approximately 2.5 hours from Boston and New York City, and just 1.5 hours from Albany and Hartford, Berkshire is centrally located and easy to access.

Tips for your visit:

Wear comfortable walking shoes! You’ll definitely get some steps in while you traverse campus, so we encourage you to wear shoes that make your feet happy.

Come with questions. We’re going to be telling you A LOT about Berkshire School. Meanwhile, we encourage you to think about what matters to you most in a community, what drives your curiosities and interests, and what your overall goals are - so we can speak to those subjects while you're here.

Be yourself. One of our goals for your visit is to get to know you, so please don’t worry about who you think we want you to be. We want you to be your authentic self!

Plan your trip ahead! If your visit to Berkshire requires hired transportation arrangements, please consider them in advance. We recommend prearranged transportation to and from Berkshire.
