Admission
My first trip to Berkshire School was partially motivated by curiosity to see the school’s campus and—in full transparency—excitedly hoping to see Highland Cattle grazing at a nearby farm. Regardless of the reason I made the trip, I will never forget my first time seeing this beautiful place. Little did I know that once I got to meet the people of the community, they would immediately take the spotlight as the best part of Berkshire School.
Our website offers valuable facts, figures, videos, and images to help give you a sense of what it means to be a Bear. To me, being a part of this community means having the integrity to always put forth your best effort, the humility to not take yourself too seriously, and the confidence to lead with curiosity when learning more about yourself and the people around you
As you go about your boarding school search, I encourage you to lead with curiosity and excitement. Berkshire has become one of the most selective boarding schools in the country, not because of its beautiful location, but because of the students, families, faculty, and staff filling the spaces that captured my heart on a last-minute drive through Sheffield.

Once you've submitted an inquiry and scheduled an interview, you're ready to apply. This process includes submitting materials through an online application, which includes recommendations, transcripts, and test scores. (Berkshire is test optional.)
