Summer Reading 2025

Form Required Reading

All English class-specific titles are part of our core curriculum and are chosen to support the work you will do throughout the year. The form-specific read depends upon the Form you are entering and will provide the basis for early assessments in your English class this fall. Thus, it is recommended that you read it in close proximity to the start of the school year so the content is fresh. You may supplement your reading of the text with listening to the audio version, but doing so should only complement, not replace, reading the text. In addition, you must arrive on campus with a physical copy of the text, as you will need it for your English class. Click on the title of your Form below to read a review.

Mathematics Summer Work

Math is a subject that requires practice and repetition to master. By dedicating time to summer math work, students reinforce their understanding of key concepts and skills, making it easier for them to grasp new topics when they return to school. Math skills are cumulative, meaning that new concepts and topics build upon previously learned ones. Consistent review prevents the loss of acquired skills and helps students retain important mathematical concepts.

Please click here to find the Berkshire School Mathematics Summer Work site. Every math course has a required summer work packet or assignment, which will be graded in the fall. Students need to locate the page for the class they are enrolled in for the 2025-2026 school year and work through the material in their class packet. Students will be assessed on the prerequisite material during the first week of school.
