Dixon Observatory
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Mt. Everett, Berkshire’s Dixon Observatory is a unique learning environment where science and wonder meet. Whether it’s a crisp winter night or a warm spring evening, the observatory invites students to slow down, look up, and connect with the cosmos. As the heart of Berkshire’s Astronomy course, the Dixon Observatory offers students direct access to high-powered telescopes and digital imaging systems. Here, the abstract becomes tangible—planets, nebulae, and galaxies aren’t just studied in theory; they’re observed, captured, and understood through hands-on exploration.
Stepping into the Dixon observatory and peering through the telescope for the first time, you realize that the vast, enigmatic universe is not a distant dream but a profound reality waiting just beyond the lens." David Dahari
