Anne Allen Buck Leadership Summit

As Berkshire’s celebration of 50 Years of Coeducation continues, we are returning to the School’s roots to honor co-founder Anne Allen Buck who built Berkshire alongside her husband, Seaver Buck. Their partnership was “an extraordinary one in which her wisdom served as check and balance on a thousand occasions.” (Art Chase, longtime English teacher).

Anne Allen Buck had a pivotal role in the founding of the school, yet much was unknown about her. Until now! In acknowledgment of her guidance, Berkshire will host the first Anne Allen Buck Leadership Summit, a series of speakers and events to salute leadership.

To help us celebrate, we invite the community to join us virtually for these exciting events. Special guests include Shabana Basij-Rasikh founder of School of Leadership, Afghanistan (SOLA); Alvaro Rodriguez Arregui ’85, social entrepreneur; Dr. Christine Goldthwaite P’20,’22, leadership specialist; Dr. Tarika Barrett, COO of Girls Who Code; and Melissa Del Valle ‘88, professional women’s boxing champion.

Anne Allen Buck breaks ground at Berkshire while her husband, Seaver, looks on surrounded by students.
