|Alpine Skiing - Varsity Girls USSA U21/U18/U16 Auto Jiminy Giant Slalom|
|Date:||February 2, 2014|
Event Recap:The Berkshire School Ski Team climbed to the top of Jiminy Peak Ski Resort through the sun, rain, sleet, and snow for the longest Giant Slalom course of the year. The ladies fought their way through the clouds in their second run to place three of our athletes in the top 30. Annette Key '16 came down fast with a killer second run to put herself in 8th. Following her Julia Slyer '14 came back after a highly athletic first run in 16th, Molly Coleman '16 put her nose down the hill and finished in 22nd, and Krissy Govertsen '15 fought to finish in 35th. Both Emily Barclay '15 and Tyler Smith '16 fell to the course and did not finish. However the boys, even after a course hold for the chair lift, brought their game faces. Nathaniel Mackenzie '14 rocked his run to land himself in 9th, with Bryce Schuyler '15 close behind in 11th, George Frick '14 in 29th, Rawson Clough '17 who crushed his second run to land himself in 32nd, and Ben Lang '15 in 53rd. All in all it was a great day on the slopes for the Berkshire School Ski Team as a whole. They will be returning to Jiminy Peak again next week to seek revenge on the course that got so many of them.
