Basketball - Girls Junior Varsity vs. Kent School

Event Type: Regular

Date: January 18, 2014

Score:Berkshire 16 - Kent 31

Event Recap:

Berkshire 16 Kent 31

Berkshire looked to halt its two game losing streak when it headed down to Kent Saturday afternoon.  After a long snow filled bus ride, the Bears had a bit of a lack luster warm-up.  Despite this, they scored a few baskets early, but it was clear that they were not playing at the level necessary to beat Kent.  They lost their early lead and trailed Kent 15-8 at halftime.  Unfortunately, the second half saw more of the same and Berkshire fell 31-16.  Taylor Rathbun led all Berkshire scorers with 11 points and Didi Fade and Silvanna Gomez also added to the offensive production.  Berkshire will need to player a stronger game if it hopes to change its fortunes against Suffield on Wednesday.
