Date: February 20, 2013

Result:Loss
Score:55 - 66

Event Recap:
It was a bit of a reversal of fortunes from our Monday afternoon victory at Hotchkiss. There, on the road, we got off to a really hot start -- only to get a scare when the Bearcats came storming back to make it too close for comfort. Here, it was our guests, Trinity Pawling, that got off to a great start, jumping out of the gates to a quick 11-1 advantage. After we called a timeout, we collected ourselves and started to chip away. With some better transition defense and a more deliberate approach on the offensive side, we cut the lead to 4. TP responded, however, put together a critical run at the end of the half to take a 13-point cushion into the locker room.

We knew that the first four minutes of the second half would be really important to get ourselves back in the game. Unfortunately, it was again our guests that took the early half momentum. They cruised out to a 20+ margin. To our team's credit, however, we never gave up and actually -- like Hotchkiss did with us on Monday -- made a game of it. With some excellent full court pressure, we were able to cut what was once a huge deficit to a 9 point game with about 80 seconds remaining. Still a long way away but within striking distance. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and TP escaped with a hard-fought victory. Still, there were many moments of good basketball and the boys hsould be proud of their effort.

Up next is our final game of the season. At home vs. Wilbraham.
