Basketball - Boys Thirds vs. Trinity Pawling

Event Type: Regular

Date: January 15, 2014

Score:Berkshire 30 - TP 37

Event Recap:

In their first road game, the Berkshire Bears travelled over to Trinity Pawling and suffered their second loss in a row and of the season 37-30. The Bears came out with tons of energy. Their up tempo press made it hard for Trinity Pawling to set anything up in the early going. Trinity Pawling made some adjustments and started to get things going on the offensive end, while Berkshire went into a bit of a shooting slump. The combination of the two, allowed TP back into the game as they took a 12-9 lead into halftime. The second half saw a flat Berkshire Bears team and opportunistic Trinity Pawling. TP pushed the lead up to 16 at one point until a timeout and team rally set a fire under the Bears. JP Alvarez’s hustle added a spark on defense, helping to cause some turnovers leading to transition buckets by Justin Donawa and Quentin van der Lee. The Bears missed Luke Lockwood’s height in the paint. TP’s size and ability to hold Berkshire to one shot proved to be a determining factor down the stretch. The Bears will be back home Saturday the 18th to face Kent at 2:30.
