The Bears were looking to finish their season strong on the road against the Rumsey Blue Dogs, and with two games left and a winning season assured, Berkshire still seemed hungry for a win. The Bears were short-handed for the game as only eight players dressed. Despite that, the Bears came out playing hard as Ras Steinrueck helped set the tone with his hard play and hustle. The Bears raced out to an eight-point lead and went into the half with a comfortable margin.
The second half saw the Blue Dogs fight back, and the game seesawed back and forth until the final minute. The Blue Dogs fought to a five-point lead with under a minute to go. A quick basket by Ras Steinrueck cut the lead to two and the Bears were able to get the ball back with six seconds to go. After a quick timeout, the Bears came out looking to tie the score, but were denied the tie and the win with an unfortunate turnover. Final score: Rumsey, 37, Berkshire 35.
