Basketball - Boys Thirds vs. Trinity Pawling

Event Type: Regular

Date: February 13, 2013

Score:60 - 39

Event Recap:
The Bears traveled down the road to Trinity Pawling hoping to notch their ninth win of the season.  As has become the norm for the boys of Berkshire, they started the game slow, letting the Pride take a 4-2 lead after nearly six minutes of play.  The Bears traded baskets with the Pride throughout the rest of the half and went into the break with a scant four-point lead.  As is also normal with the Thirds team this year, they came roaring out of the blocks to start to second half. Justin Donawa scorched up and down the court on his way to a season high 27 points, while Patrick Frey found his range from three-point land to finish the game with 13 points.  Despite those flashy numbers, the real star of the second half and the game was Jae Seung Lee who played lock-down defense on the Pride's best player, recorded six steals, scored six crucial points early in the second half, contributed three assists and more than anything else, helped inspire the Bears to victory.  The Bears rode that inspiration to a 60-39 victory.  The Bears next play Indian Mountain at 3:30 PM on February 16. Go Bears!
