The Bears traveled to Canterbury on Saturday to take on the Saints in what both coaches expected would be another tight, hard-fought battle typical of the last few years. The teams didn't disappoint, with Canterbury taking a 4-3 win that wasn't decided until the final matches on court ended.
Notching decisive 3-0 wins for Berkshire, each with the first JV squash victory of his young career, were Jimmy Chung (#3), Bao Nguyen (#5), and Will Aldam(#7). Congratulations to each! Brian Rodriguez (#8) and Yanno Fernandez (#9) also won 3-0 in their exhibition matches to cap a good day in the courts for our young, but fast-improving team.
The schedule heats up with five matches in the next ten days, beginning with Wednesday's 2:30 PM rematch against Millbrook at their place. A few more first-ever wins for the Bears and the elusive first match victory may soon be in hand!
