Coach Borwick is a former Head U16 Coach of the Holiday program in NY, before moving west to work as a U16 Coach with MART. Coach Borwick was selected to work with the National Development System in USSA Rocky/Central before returning to take on the position of Alpine U16 Coach and Alpine Admissions with the Stratton Mountain School. While at SMS, Coach Borwick worked under tow former US Team coaches, Mike Morin and Eric Harlow and coached USST athletes Brittany Lathrop, Libby Gibson and Nick Krause. Coach Borwick is a USSA certified Alpine Coach and Official.
Patrick Donovan is a former NCAA D1 Alpine ski racer, who attended and competed for the University of New Hampshire, in which he captained the Men’s Team his senior year. Donovan went on to coach ski racing at the Killington Mountain School, Proctor Academy and the Indian Mountain School. Coach Donovan is an Assistant Director of Admissions and is the Head Coach of the Strength and Conditioning Team. Coach Donovan, along with his wife Caddie and son Bear, are dorm parents in Godman. Coach Donovan is a licensed USSA Club Coach.
Cency Middleton is a former Williston Northampton School ski racer who competed in NEPSAC competitions. Coach Middleton attended Washington and Jefferson College where she helped lead her women’s soccer team to two straight Presidents Athletic Council Championships and selections in the NCAA National Championship Tournament. Coach Middleton is a dorm parent in Spurr House, as well as being the Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach and teaches English. Coach Middleton is a licensed USSA Club Coach.
Scott Govertsen joined Berkshire in the Fall of 2012, and brings a strong background in the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America). Coach Govertsen is a certified Level 2 Alpine Ski Instructor and has taught alpine skiing professionally for eight years at the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort prior to coming to Berkshire as a full time Alpine Coach. Coach Govertsen is a licensed USSA Club Coach.
George Frick spent the past fifteen of sixteen years coaching U16 and U14 athletes in the Okemo Mountain Alpine Race Association and has worked with numbers of athletes that went on to qualify for the Vermont State Teams, J4 Future Stars and U16 Junior Olympic levels. For the past two years, Coach Frick coached the BSST USSA Club Athletes. Coach Frick is a licensed USSA Club Coach and Alpine Official.
John Slyer has been coaching competitive sports for the past twenty-nine years specializing in cycling, track and running. Coach Slyer is a certified school teacher in the State of New York, and began coaching with the Brodie Mountain Program, prior to coaching with the Bosquet Ski Team. Coach Slyer works with the Berkshire School USSA Club Athletes and is a licensed USSA Club Coach and Alpine Official.
