Squash - Boys Varsity vs. Kent School

Event Type: Regular

Date: February 16, 2013

Score:5 - 2

Event Recap:

The Bears notched another victory this season despite playing on the old American courts at Kent.  Notable performances included #7 Noah Wilson '15 playing some great points and keep his lefty opponent deep in the court.  #6 George Fowlkes '14 had a tough match but showed some grit winning his third game 13-11.  He couldn't put it all together for the fourth and lost 1-3.  # 5 Peter Hoover '14 continued to struggle to find his shots but did steadily improve as the match went on.  He lost 0-3.  #1-4 all won relatively quickly aside from our #3, Sam Perkins '14.  He went up 2-0 but couldn't close the match off in the third or fourth.  Thankfully, he found a way to get out of his head in the fifth and took a convincing lead in the match.  It was nice to see Sam emerge victorious from yet another five-gamer.

We head to Suffield on Wednesday and then off to New England's this weekend.
