The Berkshire squash program is dedicated to developing and fostering college-ready players with our two competitive teams and nurturing a life-long love of the game with our thirds squad. Recent alumni now play at Hobart, Franklin & Marshall, Bates, and St. Lawrence. We work hard to instill strong fundamentals at the Junior Varsity level and continue to refine and expand players’ skills as they transition to the Varsity level. Both competitive squads emphasize team development and players work hard to challenge each other during practices. The Varsity competes against many of the top teams in New England and finished second at the Class C New England Championships last season. The team travels to multiple tournaments in the region and some varsity players compete in individual tournaments throughout the year.
Berkshire has eight returning Varsity players this season, many eager to utilize the experience they gained on the court last year. The upcoming season should showcase some of our younger players development and highlight the team’s dedication to daily improvement.
Perhaps most telling of the players’ enthusiasm for the sport at Berkshire is the frequency at which players take to the court during the fall, winter, and spring. If you love the game, you will find someone on campus willing to play any season.

More importantly, the Bears’ met their goal of improving upon last year’s 13th place performance.
