After a dominating performance on Saturday against Wilbraham, the Lady Bears hosted Westminster for a rescheduled Monday afternoon game. Unfortunately, their wow-ing ways did not carry over quite as they had hoped, but they were still able to come away with another Class A win.
Hannah Cooke ’14 and Samone DeFreese ’15 were the two Bears in double figures for points, scoring 14 and 10 respectively. DeFreese rounded out her double-double with 11 rebounds, while Cooke also contributed six rebounds, four steals, and five assists. Kristalyn Baisden ’15 scored nine points, had four steals, and dished out three assists, and Cam Biasin ’14 also had a strong day for the Bears (eight points, six rebounds, three steals). Emmi Graebner ’14 had four big points for Berkshire, one basket off a nice dish-out from Cooke, and the other off a strong move to the basket.
The shots that fell Saturday simply did not fall, and Westminster put more pressure on the Bears to make things happen. The final score was 48-32 in favor of Berkshire.
