The Bears took a long ride to Marion to play a tough Tabor team after only 2 days of practice after the break. Were it not for several minutes of mental lapses it would have been a much closer game. The team recovered from an 18 to 2 start to manage to pull it to 34 to 30 with two minutes left in the half, but ended down 10 at half. The second half saw us get to within 3, but we were never able to break free. There was simply too much Tabor talent with too little time.
Chris Gaynor led all scorers with 21 with 4 three-pointers; Kyle Kobis had 15; Eric Samuel chipped in 12. Chris Cooke and Mike Allen had 5 apiece Everyone played and they all worked hard. Next week, we have three games which will help with timing and conditioning.
