Berkshire played host to Pomfret yesterday afternoon at the JACK. The Griffins kept it close early, limiting Berkshire to one goal in the first period despite having to kill off a five-minute major penalty. In the second period the Bears opened the game up. The offensive attack was buoyed by the efforts of the Tracey-O'Connor-Gammill line as Nick O'Connor scored the rare 'natural' hat trick, three consecutive goals. The first was on a rebound in front and the next two on tip-ins in front of the cage. The O'Connor natural hat trick and a strong second period seemed to solidify Berkshire's advantage in the game. In net, George Blinick stopped everything thrown his way to earn the shutout. The game ended with the final score of 5-0.
Berkshire is back in action at 7pm this Saturday when they host Westminster.
