Lacrosse - Girls Junior Varsity vs. Suffield

Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Home

Date: April 20, 2013

Result:Win
Score:11 - 9

Event Recap:
After losing a tough match against Greenwich Academy on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 15-5, the Bears were ready to redeem themselves. Saturday's game against Suffield proved to be the redemption the Bears sought, as they ended the game with a win. With five goals from Caroline Slyer and four from Lexi Merison, the Bears were able to stay ahead of Suffield the entire game. And then the buzzer sounded at the conclusion of two 25 minute halves the Bears were up 11 to 9.
Beyond the offensive juggernaut of Merison and Slyer, Hallie Mather contributed to the effort by picking up a team-leading 6 ground balls. Indie Coard and Kara Falck commanded the defense in front of our brick-wall goal-tender Nicky Friedman
The Bears go on the road on Wednesday when they take on Loomis at 3:30.
