Lacrosse - Boys Junior Varsity vs. Avon Old Farms School

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 9, 2014

Event Recap:
The Bears dropped their third game in a row, losing to Avon 7-5 on Wednesday, April 9.
Berkshire looked strong throughout the first half, but let up four goals in the third quarter to hand Avon the lead, and the momentum heading into the fourth quarter. While the Bears outscored Avon in the fourth, it was too little, too late as Avon was able to kill the clock and send Berkshire packing.
Nick Palumbo led the Bears with 3 goals and 1 assist. Cam Robinson got his first goal as a Bear, and also added 2 assists. Sam Merrill scored an unassisted goal. Harry Smith had 8 saves on the day, some at point-blank range.
Liam Thor started, and did a nice job at the face-off x. The close defensemen continue to improve and let up very few 6v6 goals. The Bears host Loomis on Saturday.
