Softball - Girls Junior Varsity vs. Kent School

Event Type: Regular

Date: April 19, 2014

Event Recap:
The JV Bears looked a little nervous in their home opening and found themselves in a big hole after the first inning. Undaunted, the Bears came back and had the lead by a run at the end of the 4th inning. Unfortunately, we ultimately fell to some timely Lion hitting in the top of the seventh. Notable for the Bears: Gracie Kraft ending a long first inning by striking out 3 batters, and having 9 strikeouts in her 4 innings, Quynh Anh Phan’s solid base hit in the 2nd that scored Jenalyn Rembish, Juyoung Lee’s spectacular catch on a screaming line drive down the 3rd base line in the 4th inning and Alea Laigle’s solid play at first in her debut with the Bears. The Bears have two contests next week, with the Indian Mountain Falcons coming to town on Friday and the Marlets from Westminster visiting the Bears on Saturday.
