Lacrosse - Girls Varsity vs. Miss Porter's

Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Away

Date: April 5, 2014

Result:Win
Score:12-10

Event Recap:
In our third game of the season versus Miss Porters, Berkshire played well through the first half and came out with a 7 to 2 lead. However, in the second half, the team was not up to its usual standards of play, allowing Porters to chip away at the lead. Lucy Hollister '15 stepped into a new position and played a spectacular game of body defense.  Sandra Stephan'15, held her own in the midfield, fighting for every ground ball and earning several interceptions throughout the first game. In the last few minutes of the game, Berkshire's lead became questionable, as Porters snatched up the ball during a stall tactic and made their way towards the goal.  However, with the combined strength of defense and goalie skill from Ana Alveranga '15, we emerged victorious with a 12- 10 win. Despite our lagging energy, we came out on top because "we're a family" (Mike Eruzione).
