Hotchkiss took a commanding 4-0 lead in the first 1:40 of play and never looked back. Berkshire's defense stepped in and stuffed a few quick opportunities but could not convert in the offensive end. Hotchkiss continued to win almost every draw and passed flawlessly as they transitioned the ball. They quickly took over and the score was 12-0 lead at the half. Unable to mount a comeback, the Bears fell into a bit of a lackluster rhythm as the second half wore on. Lucy Hollister '15 and Camryn Biasin '14played tenacious defense and had a number of interceptions while Sandra Stephan '15 recorded 3 ground balls. Britt Brown played tough in net and had 16 saves but unfortunately the defense could not recover her rebounds, resulting in many one-two punches. The Bears will lick their wounds and practice hard ready for a good contest at Kent on Saturday.
