Lacrosse - Girls Varsity vs. Kingswood Oxford

Event Type: Regular
Advantage:Away

Date: April 27, 2013

Result:Loss
Score:10 - 13

Event Recap:
The Bears started off with a quick 3-0 lead, building to 6-3, and it looked as though the game would go well.  However, things quickly unraveled as Kingswood-Oxford took advantage of a numbers up situation after a yellow card and tied the game.  Then, the Wyverns went up 7-6 just before the half.

A stunned Berkshire team took to the field in the second half knowing they would need to calm down and play with more composure.  There was also a need to win the draw.  Unfortunately, Kingswood stormed the field and stole the momentum that Berkshire needed.  They played with heart and won the crucial 50/50 balls that proved decisive in this close battle.  In the final five minutes, Berkshire had a number of chances that were stifled by goalie saves, strong Kingswood defense, and a few unforced errors.

The Bears will look to regroup before a tough contest against Hotchkiss on Wednesday.
