The girls’ lacrosse program at Berkshire emphasizes improvement, commitment, teamwork, and most of all fun. We play a very competitive schedule that includes many of the traditional prep school powerhouses like Loomis Chaffee, Greenwich Academy, Hotchkiss, Taft, Williston Northampton, and Choate. The 2012 season featured exciting wins over Hotchkiss and Deerfield for the first time in program history. Earning the 2012 WNEPSLA Class B New England title was a great reward for a special season and squad of committed athletes. The addition of over twenty girls to the program this year, combined with nine returning Varsity players (including an All-American), makes the future of the program, at both the Varsity and JV level, very bright.
Our sixteen-game season begins in early April and wraps up at the end of May. Berkshire's two artificial turf fields ensure that upon our return from our trip to Florida over Spring break we can practice outdoors in order to prepare for our first game against Northfield Mount Hermon.
